ABOUT SASHA

My full name is Sasha Niobe Oakling Woodsia Kopf, and I was born in 1979. I have always loved all kinds of art, starting from the minute I was first able to hold a marker. I like to draw, do calligraphy, sew, make origami, act, take photographs, and a whole bunch of other things. I also love animals, especially Malayan tapirs, the creature for which Tapir Type is named. My other interests include medieval history, progressive politics, and writing.

Currently, I am a second year law student at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from Princeton University in 2002 with a degree in English and a concentration in theater. Between college and law school, I moved out to beautiful Seattle, Washington, for a few years and did various jobs around the city. I also spent a lot of time with various peace and social justice initiatives, working with the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker-based organization, and helping to start a free newsletter on U.S. foreign and domestic policy called the Valley War Bulletin in my hometown, Northampton, Massachusetts.
